In this beauty editorial, me and my lovely creative partner Sooyeon decided to get inspired by David Lynch’s masterpiece „Blue Velvet“.
The unique mood of the movie, the constrasts between childish, naive innocence and raw sexuality illustrated by genious pictures were a great inspiration for us.
Also, during the shooting I’ve been thinking a lot about one of my favourite movie genres: giallo – an Italian 20th century film genre which combines mystery, erotic elements and crime fiction. SUSPIRIA, a classic giallo movie by Dario Argento is, in my opinion, a great piece of art which is a fulminant crossover of breathtakingly lighted imagery and heartstopping horror elements.
