Next Friday 6-9pm, the big WE-R-JAPAN charity event takes place on Munich’s Odeonsplatz to help the victims of the Japan quake and tsunami.
At first, there will be an auction: highlight is a single copy of a bar stool by industrial design super star Konstantin Grcic. Other artists who donated pieces are designer Ayzit Bostan, photographers Martin Fengel and Tibor Bozi and artist Nana Dix. If you are an artist yourself and you want to donate a piece for the auction you are more than welcome to do so. The money goes 100% to the certified charity organization Deutschland Hilft to support Japan.
After the auction, there will be a concert with Blumentopf and the Japanes-Bavarian band Coconami. Get info in German here. PLEASE, HELP.
By the way: that’s Zehra on the photos who is one of the main forces for a growing (sub)culture in Munich. After the catastrophe in Japan she decided to take action herself and started WE-R-JAPAN. Thank you for that.
Her outfit: Ayzit Bostan sweater, Maison Scotch trousers, vintage Prada boots.
